CNY highlight

Juz to share with my dear friends... I have recently uploaded 2 videos to my Youtube about a chinese tradition that many of you may not have seen before. So please do enjoy it. =)

1. The annual knife bridge (刀桥). This is my second year crossing it. Too bad we miss the normal wooden bridge or also known as peace/safety bridge (平安桥).

2. This was a highlight this year as (according to my dad) it is only held once every 4 years. Knowing the temple is having this, we extended one day of our stay and only return to PJ on the 5th day of CNY.

So many years of celebrating CNY in my dad's hometown, this is actually the 1st year I witnessed the process of preparing and crossing of the burning charcoal. When I was still a kid, I saw it twice. Once when it was held infront of the temple, my uncle crossed it and another held opposite our house, my 3rd uncle crossed while carrying my cousin brother but the memory was so faded.

Such an experience. Plus, I got 1st class seat as I was right next to the charcoals and it was burning HOT!!

P/S: Apologies for the very bad camera movements and editing. =)
